About Your Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate based in Costa Rica to support our U.S.-based SaaS operations. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices while working closely with U.S.-based teams. The ideal candidate has experience supporting U.S. clients, is comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong English communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments while maintaining a professional and customer-centric approach
- Process incoming payments (ACH/wire, credit cards) and apply them accurately to customer accounts
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly recorded
- Investigate customer inquiries
- Prepare aging reports and assist with credit risk assessments
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve account issues
Your Experience / Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience supporting U.S. companies or clients
- Experience in SaaS, subscription-based, or recurring revenue environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. business practices and customer expectations
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) required
- Experience working in a remote or multinational team environment
- Proficiency with accounting/billing systems (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, data reconciliation)
